Women’s rugby is growing rapidly, with England’s most recent win at the Women’s Six Nations a key indicator of how much the game has progressed for women and girls. We already have a high number of girls across the minis section, two girls’ youth teams (U12’s and U16’s) and a women’s adult team; She Wolves. We are committed as a club to continue to increase the opportunity for girls to play our great game at all levels.
We are currently promoting our new bootcamp - created especially for girls in school years 6-11. See below for more details and how to register.
Girls Rugby Bootcamp
Every Wednesday from 5th March, 6:30-7:15pm at Old Gravesendians Rugby Club, Fleetway Sports Ground, Bronte View, Gravesend, DA12 1PX
The bootcamp sessions will be fun, engaging and non-contact with a focus on teamwork, fitness and core skills. Exercise is proven to support mental health and relieve stress, which is especially important for teenage girls to help build healthy routines for their future. These sessions will also promote and encourage the rugby values of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship.
